Tangy Fish


This is a purely assamese dish. And i think it is one of the easiest ones to cook.
All u need is:
  1. Fish (preferably freshwater) - half kilo
  2. 3 Tomato
  3. 2 Potato
  4. Little amount of Methi
  5. One Tea spoon full oil
  6. Salt and Turmeric to taste

Procedure:

  1. Put a little bit of Turmeric and salt on the fish pieces, mix them properly.Fry them mildly.
  2. On a kadhai, put oil and put some methi seeds.
  3. Put the cut potato on the oil and fry them till they become slighly browm.
  4. Put the grated tomato on it and add water and let the fried potato to boil.
  5. Add salt and turmeric and keep it for some time
  6. Add the fish and put it on simmer

VOILA, tangy fish is ready :)
