This is a purely assamese dish. And i think it is one of the easiest ones to cook.
All u need is:
- Fish (preferably freshwater) - half kilo
- 3 Tomato
- 2 Potato
- Little amount of Methi
- One Tea spoon full oil
- Salt and Turmeric to taste
Procedure:
- Put a little bit of Turmeric and salt on the fish pieces, mix them properly.Fry them mildly.
- On a kadhai, put oil and put some methi seeds.
- Put the cut potato on the oil and fry them till they become slighly browm.
- Put the grated tomato on it and add water and let the fried potato to boil.
- Add salt and turmeric and keep it for some time
- Add the fish and put it on simmer
VOILA, tangy fish is ready :)
